The short and intense workouts have been a game changer for me in terms of recovery. But here’s the thing – I’m not really sacrificing that much. With the Rest-Pause Method I’m often in and out in 40-50 minutes.Įven if I have to sacrifice a little bit of weight on the bar in order to save massive amounts of time – that’s a trade I’m willing to make. I wanna be in and out of the gym in 60 minutes. The days of 2 hour workouts are over for me.

And that’s really my favorite aspect of the Rest-Pause method – it’s a massive time saver in the gym. At worst – strength stayed about the same as with a more traditional approach.īut even in a worse case scenario (no real substantial increases in strength) strength & muscle were maintained in a fraction of the time. And with gains in strength, come increases in muscle size. The results have been overwhelmingly positive.Īt best – many of us made noticeable gains in strength on a variety of different movements.

I began using them out of curiosity, as a self experiment, to see if I found value in the technique.
